Morocco is a country that belongs to North Africa, it borders the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, it has a warm 3,500 kilometers of coastline with a variety of beautiful beaches that are distributed between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic, which vary in small rocky coves or fine sand.

Here is our selection of the best beaches in Morocco, from the Mediterranean end in Nador, passing through Tangier in the Strait of Gibraltar to Dakhla. 

  • Tangier Beach 
Tangier has some beautiful beaches on the outskirts of the city in which to enjoy the sea and the sun while we take a nice walk. Ideal places for a few hours of fun and relaxation and go alone with someone or with the whole family. Something further away we find excellent beaches like Achakkar, which quieter and more lonely. 




  • Tamouda Bay 
This beach is known as the pearl of the Rif for its great beauty and is one of the main tourist places in Morocco. In its vicinity, we find all the amenities to satisfy the most demanding: diverse hotel complexes, restaurants, a beautiful promenade ... It is said that the beach of Tamouda Bay has sand that stands out for its golden colour, fine sand in which you want to lie down to feel the sun's rays brushing our face.

  • Martil Beach 
This beach is located in the city of Tetouan, at the mouth of the river that bears the same name, it is very wide, sandy, and extends from Capo Negro to the north, to Azla near Capo Nazari, to the south. At one time it served as a fishing port and a summer beach. Over time it has been developed and lately, improvements have been made which has made it the favorite of local citizens and visitors, for these reasons it is considered one of the best beaches in Morocco. 




  • Oued Laou Beach 
Oued Laou is a small and charming town in which there is little to do but relax on the beach and watch the fishermen cast their nets. It is located relatively close to Chefchaouen, but far enough away so that its long, empty beaches are a perfect place for backpackers and budget travelers looking for a bit of peace and rest. The beach of Oued Laou extends for many kilometers with which the tranquillity is assured, even during the summer months.

  • Assilah Beach
Known as the pearl of the Atlantic, this city just 50 km from Tangier, enjoys a small and active port and a great beach near one of the most beautiful historical cities of Morocco. Assilah fills up during the summer months but the rest of the year enjoys languid tranquillity. Actually, the entire coast between Tangier and Asilah is a virgin beach, so if you travel by car there will be plenty of places to take a dip. The most famous beach is Las Palomas or Cuevas, where you can enjoy a splendid sandy beach bathed in clean waters and tranquillity. Located a few kilometers from Assilah, its access is not easy, which explains the tranquillity that is enjoyed on this wonderful beach of fine sand and clean waters

  • Rabat Beach
This city has very popular beaches located on both sides of the mouth of the river Bouregreg. To find quieter beaches we will have to get away from the city. There are many of them. The most spectacular stretch of beaches is located next to the road that connects Skhirat and Mohamedia. This is the favorite place of the inhabitants of Casablanca and the Moroccan jet set. In Bouznika we will find some of the most exclusive resorts on the Atlantic coast with superb beaches and intense nightlife.

  • Porto Rico Beach 
Located about 20km south of El Argoub – a small fishing village with night lights shining brightly that it can sometimes be spotted from Dakhla town – Porto Rico is a secluded beach with picturesque water ideal for swimming. Here you will also find cliffs and rocks worth exploring. All in all, Porto Rico beach is an ideal relaxation spot for visitors.


  • Sidi Kaouki Essaouira Beach
A popular alternative to nearby Essaouira, where the winds tend to be high, Sidi Kaouki is a pretty unspoiled paradise, with a wild beach, small sand dunes, and a marabout guarding the waters. During the low season, horses and camels are available for walks on the beach and sun loungers are available for sun lovers, while the central square houses a café and a simple restaurant. The hotels range from simple to mid-range, with the sale characteristic as the wild and open views of the beach.   • Moulay Bousselham Beach
This beach is located in the north of Morocco, in a quiet fishing village that bears the same name, it is a very peaceful pilgrimage site and is protected by cliffs because the currents can sometimes be very strong, so You must be very careful when you swim in it. On this beach, you can practice, fishing, surfing, and different outdoor sports, in this place you can spend a few days of relaxing and has all the services required for a comfortable stay, due to its characteristics it is one of Morocco's best beaches.
