These photos to inspire you to visit Morocco are a slice of what to expect while visiting. It’s a vibrant culture and undoubtedly one of my favorites countries I have visited to date. Morocco’s wide range of experiences, from the bustling streets of Marrakech to the never-ending plains of the Sahara Desert, are what make the destination diverse.
Culturally, the rich traditions and history engrained in
what you see today is incredible. The streets are constantly changing in
landscape with new vendors and street carts stacked high with fresh produce,
all the while, bikes whizzing by you. It is often a sensory overload to say the
least. Last year, I spent three weeks exploring multiple destinations. I came
home with not only souvenirs like the Moroccan rug or blanket, but also a new
found perspective on travel.
Slow could be the best way to describe Morocco. Most don’t
realize just how long it will take to get from one destination to the next in
Morocco. Whether it’s the long drive to the Sahara or the favorited overnight
train from Marrakech to Tangier, the journey is part of the experience. For
those who love a road trip, Morocco couldn’t be a better place to start.
What I adored about Morocco was the surprises I found along
the way. Like did you know that English and Arabic are widely spoken, but many
regions also speak French and Spanish? Or even though it is in Northern Africa,
it feels more Middle Eastern? Or that mint tea served hot is a way of welcoming
guests? There’s so much to discover.
If you’re considering a trip to Morocco, I hope these photos will ignite an inspiration for your trip. If you’re not considering, than I also hope that these photos will put Morocco on your bucket list.
