Tips for visiting Tangier, Old city in northern Morocco

Extreme Day Trip to Tetouan from Tangier City
Tetouan is the most fascinating small town in northern Morocco. Nestled between the imposing mountains of the Rif, it boasts a glorious past: it was in fact built by the Portuguese in 1307 as an important military stronghold to defend the country. A short walk through the city you can admire its white houses has an interesting mix of Arab and Andalusian culture, surrounded by lush vegetation and juxtaposed on a promontory of the Rif. You will discover all the corners of Tetouan by walking through the streets of the old medina and the souks.
